About these terms

These terms apply when you use Stuama.ie. By using the website, you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use the site. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclaimer.

Who we are

Stuama.ie is operated by Paul Hudson, trading as Magenta Online Marketing, in Ireland. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of Stuama.ie. You can contact us through our contact form.

What Stuama.ie provides

Stuama.ie is an Irish business-services comparison and information website. It publishes general information, comparisons and guides to help Irish businesses understand their options for card payments, accounting software, business websites and business insurance. Stuama.ie is free to use. We do not sell products or services to you through the website.

General information, not professional advice

Our content is written to help you understand a topic, compare options and prepare the right questions. It is general information and does not take account of your business’s circumstances. It is not:

legal advice;
tax advice;
accounting advice;
financial advice; or
personalised insurance advice.

Stuama.ie is not an insurer or insurance intermediary, and is not an accountant, tax adviser, solicitor or financial adviser. Where a decision depends on your business’s own circumstances, such as a tax treatment, a contract or the level of insurance cover you need, please take advice from a suitably qualified professional or a regulated firm.

Accuracy and changing information

We take reasonable care to make our content accurate and up to date when it is published, and we explain how in our Editorial Standards. However, providers’ pricing, features, terms and availability can change at any time, and so can the rules and regulation that apply to them. Pages show when they were last checked or updated where this matters.

Before you act on something important, such as signing up to a service, committing to a contract or relying on a price, please check the current details with the provider or the relevant official source. Our comparisons do not cover every provider or product on the market. If you think something on Stuama.ie is wrong, please tell us through our Corrections Policy.

Stuama.ie links to websites run by others, including providers, regulators and official sources. We include links to help you find current information, but we do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, products or services, or how they handle your personal data. A link is not an endorsement or a guarantee. If you buy a product or service from a provider, your contract is with that provider, under its own terms; Stuama.ie is not a party to it.

Business insurance

Business insurance comparisons and quote requests are provided through CompareInsuranceIreland.ie. When you follow a link to it, you leave Stuama.ie and enter a separate website and quote journey, which has its own terms and privacy policy. As explained on Our Partnerships, CompareInsuranceIreland.ie is operated by the same operator as Stuama.ie.

Stuama.ie itself does not provide insurance quotes, arrange cover, handle premiums or deal with claims. Any insurance policy is a contract between you and the insurer, arranged through the firm that provides it, under that firm’s terms.

Intellectual property

The text, design, layout, graphics and Stuama.ie branding on this website belong to us or are used with permission. You may view, print or save pages, and share links to them, for your own personal use or for internal use within your business. Please do not copy, republish or sell substantial parts of the website, or use the Stuama.ie name or logo, without our written permission.

Names, logos and trade marks of providers and other organisations belong to their owners. We use them only to identify those organisations and their products, and this does not mean they endorse or are affiliated with Stuama.ie.

Acceptable use

Please use Stuama.ie lawfully and considerately. In particular, do not:

try to gain unauthorised access to the website or the systems behind it, or interfere with how it works;
introduce malicious code or use automated tools in a way that places an unreasonable load on the site;
use the contact form to send spam, abusive or unlawful content, or to impersonate someone else.

Availability

We aim to keep Stuama.ie available, but we cannot guarantee that the website, or any page, will always be available or free from errors or interruption. We may change, update or remove content, or suspend the website, for example for maintenance or security reasons.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Subject to that, and because Stuama.ie is a free source of general information:

we are not responsible for losses arising from decisions made in reliance on our content without checking current details with the provider or taking professional advice where appropriate, as these terms recommend;
we are not responsible for the content, products, services or conduct of other websites or providers, including any contract you make with them;
we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or, if you use the website for business purposes, for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts or opportunity.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the website or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The version on this page when you use the website is the one that applies.

General

If a court finds part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce part of these terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction over any dispute about them or your use of Stuama.ie. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live and may be able to bring proceedings there.
